rumours are vicious... and terrifying.
i hate it when rumours start flying around like nobody's business..
What are rumours?
Rumours, based on COLLINS COBUILD STUDENT'S DICTIONARY are stuff that might or might not be true, but people are saying it because they deemed it to be TRUE.
grr. YES precisely. MIGHT BE TRUE.. but people always spread rumours like AS IF THEY KNOW EVERYTHING... and as if they are the truth. argh
but who can u blame ultimately? YOURSELF definitely.
WHY?
If its not due to one of your particular action or your speech, how can rumours be created? Very often, its the indirect stuff you say from your mouth that leads to people ASSUMING what you are trying to say! Get it? NO? K for example..
A: Hey how is the trip?
B: Oh not bad.
A: got babes not
B: erm.. ok lar.. all not bad..
A: ok.. got anyhow fool around not??
B: siao! all JC friends how to fool around.. but we had a wild night in the hotel lar.. but not what u think!
A: like?
B: nothing much.. cannot say.. but one of the girls' figure quite hot hahaa..
A: wahhhhhhhh
Conclusion of A: B likes the girl whose figure is hot.

Yep. thats how rumours spread.. Lets say A or C met a common friend of B, this might just be their COMMON topic and uh huh, this is HOW rumours start spreading.

E: Oh yah!!! i know him!! so qiao ah? both of us know B!! hahaha
A: yah lor so qiao.. you know hor.. recently he has a new girl in his life right???
E: really meh tell me more leh
A: no lar. from my conversation with him lor.. he likes the girl what.. her name is F
E: really ah!! oh no F is my good friend lehh!!! so interesting..
A: yah lor.... B also says her figure very hot.. and very materialistic
