.filming.

my loads are slowly getting off me.

this week has been spent mostly in the library mugging my biz law & filming for my CT project. shagged.

my last lesson of this term will be tomorrow. time really flies. amazing fast. however, i have to say last semester was a little more enjoyable- more free time, stronger friendship built up, more chionging etc etc. however, i felt i learnt more this sem. errm. at least i am a more confident speaker now, and... i am speaking up more in class. ha..

can't wait for exams to come. my revision plans are up. Better be well prepared this time, i hope.

mug together. For those who love me, i will be at S*U library everyday. (:

.adrenaline.

i am feeling extremely satisfied and accomplished at the moment. i completed my 2nd full biathlon with a reasonable timing. Unfortunately, i wasn't able to maintain my last year's timings, a little disappointing, but i figured out i should just be freaking contented.

thanks LM & Z for coming down just to support me. I seriously needed the support and the wonderful company. *imagine waiting there all by myself, how traumatic*

At first, when Z told me my swimming timing, I was damn disappointed. Frankly, I am still pretty sure I went by the long route haha, but... i guess the intensive training I had last year did help me lots last year. However, on a good note, my 10km run improved! I managed to do better than the then very-fit g*vin. maybe my nano really works.

Overall, I love the adrenaline rush. In fact, I crave for it.*although all the kicking, taopoking, punching in the sea wasn't exactly enjoyable..* Too busy? Exams approaching? Too many projects? No time? erhm, i promise myself i will not give myself such excuses, and I hope I never will.

I am happy I did it. Thanks for all the SMSes, especially P P K J J R. And of course, my dear friends LM & Z again for sacrificing your sleep just to support me!

I need a massage..

.glad.

my last presentation of this term is finally over. my worse hated subject BGS. I am extremely glad we did well. In fact, it was unexpected. I know K will start saying : " huh its the fifth time u are saying this! " ... but i am really elated because the discussants told the whole class our presentation was the best. precise and straight to the point. And ironically, we didn't exactly put in THAT much effort in this project. Somehow, with the right people in a project group, everything will turn out well.

I feel so much less stressed now. BGS report to be brushed up, and time for intense revision. At least projects didn't stress me up as much as i did during last term. i remember doing the report with T... and I nearly died.

Finally had time to catch up with friends recently. Bus ride with K, Brekoing with K and J, and studying together with TTBJH. Quite a cool week actually.

.out for a jog.

i don't remember myself jogging at night before, and i am surprised how comfortable and easy it is! maybe it's the breeze and it happened to be less humid tonight.

it took me 50 minutes to cover my 10+km run, and surprisingly, i was't dead shagged after that. in fact, I felt damn shiok. singapore bi, here i come.

from my estate, i decided to try out new routes. i ran past HDBs, underpass, bridge, PIE, dangerous roads and I accidentally pushed somebody out of my way. ha. I ran to places which I thought could only be reached by wheels. so wrong.

My last destination was my old school :- The present St Andrew's Village. As I ran past the school, memories started flashing back- lots of memories.

I remembered the path which I always had to run during PE lessons ( I dreaded it then ). The roads where my primary school pals and I used to play catching. The big fields where we used to play all sort of sports. The SAS bridge which I used to walk almost everyday with my friends, chatting away happily. The damn dirty river which I used to throw cans of coke in. The old ulu bus stop behind my old primary school where I would take 153 all the way to Hougang and then changed to 111 or 97 to go home. ( I realise I was damn retarded because I went ONE whole round ) The haunted toilets and library in the old primary school. The Char Kway Tiao uncle. The big bell in the old SAS. Recess time where we had a table to hang out at. The pull-up bars.

Somehow, most of these people whom I have spent my primary/secondary school life with have all gone on seperate ways. i was really close to some before, but now we are like total strangers. how weird life can be sometimes. however, these people will always be part of my memories at least.

i miss my good old school days. i was really a nerd, a mummy's boy, ugly and fat. i wasn't sporty, i had curly hair ( i still do ), i went home after school everyday, and i wasn't exactly good at anything. no GEP, no fantastic grades, and no school life. I was quite a rich brat though, having my mum fetching me to school with my dad's jag then. ha. and..i remember the punch i got from Z, because of a paper swan. WTF!

i realise i have changed so much compared to some of my peers out there, and i am pretty pleased & contented now.

I thank my parents for everything i have now, and of course, the opportunities and experiences i had gotten over the years. these are what that moulded me in what i am today. i am thankful.

.no joke.

it's really no laughing matter when it comes to the final part of the project - compiling. re-aligning, spotting errors, deleting redundant content, re-align again. it's a headache, but fortunately i have group mates who are competent and understanding. ( can't say much since they.. err.. read my blog. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH ) ok, but i am serious.

glad it's over. tough job, but i hope everybody is satisfied! I am at least. :)

and... thanks bro, for staying with me today in school at the very last bit when all my pages started to screw up. your support was really needed then man. *touched*

my students love me, and i am thankful. ha.

phew, one sunday over... less than a week to singapore bia. i am really worried. Luckily my best pals will be there, i hope. (:

.love it.

frisbee in the morning was damn tiring. my toes hurt due to my sucky boots. i think my stamina suxs these days. actually, i am pretty worried over my biathlon next week.
lunch @ j8 & saw a preview of this year's MSU 2006 contestants. errmm.

BUT the interesting part was... i had a great company. (: laughing all the way and i bought some stuff for myself. wohoo. thanks la.

went my aunt's hse after tuition. played with e dog. damn cute. haha. coaching was fun. i am so much more confident compared to my very first lesson, but... i am getting a little bored.... *yawn*

finally, i have almost completed most of my projects. camping in school rushing projects wasn't exactly a good feeling. If given a chance, I would rather read more, or catch up with my old pals whom i have been neglecting.

i am fired up again. i already have a hopeless module. just hope i do well for the rest.

last sunday was shiok. i spent darn a lot. $400 over bucks over my car, myself and my friends. haha. sometimes, spending money makes you happy.

i want my weekends, but i foresee i will be spending half of my weekends in school this week.

sigh. i want my dean list. i want perfection. but it's now too far away to even reach it.

.dinner.

just 30 minutes ago, i had dinner alone. As i was waiting for my food to be served, i started to ponder upon stuff. Many thoughts came into my mind. I was thinking of the kids i have taught just now. I was thinking of what my friends said to me. I was thinking of how accomplised i am as a person. I was thinking of moring's open house. I was thinking of friends and how people see me as. Basically, I was doing some sort of "self-reflections".

It's time like this when you actually get to think of such matters. At home, I have my PC, TV, bed and tons of books as distractions. In school, it's worse. Other times, I will either be reading my biz law or busy with other stuff. Simply said, I realise I have not set any time for self-reflections at all for a long time. I was so occupied with keeping up the busy pace everybody is setting for me.

I am glad i didn't have anything to keep me occupied today. At least I have a clearer idea of what I myself want now. I have my aims. I have my ambitions. I have my goals. I don't think I am failing myself so far yet. One of my friends asked me casually a few days ago whether I have achieved anything myself. After some time, I named all the achievements I had so far in my head and smiled. However, isn't this very subjective?

Everybody has different perspective. Some just love achieving stuff for "showing-off". Some do it for sense of achievement. Some do it for personal fulfillment. There might be other reasons as well like obligations/responsibilities whatsoever. Frankly, it's not up to anyone to judge whether one is 'useless' just because he has nothing to show to anybody. That's why I have been telling myself not to judge people in a superficial way. How good is good? How accomplished is accomplised? Again, it depends on individual perspectives. Past experiences tell me human beings are never satisfied though.

I always try to see the good in people. I try not to pick on people. ( hard sometimes. ) I want to touch people with my sincerity. I want people to know that I might be blunt, but unpretencious. I constantly remind myself to be humble, but not to the extent of putting myself down.

My priority in life right now is to stay focused and to accomplish the goals I have set for myself. It's tiring, but I will do it.

.swim like a fish.

like i mentioned earlier, my fitness level has dropped ever since i started school. army really transformed me totally. i remember how i used to be a slacker back in JC... study, slack, rot, organise house events occassionally... and thats it. i don't remember having much contributions then, but at least @ army, i felt my life was pretty fulfilling. i said it before in one of my very old entries and i shall not repeat again.

and now i am in S*U. i tell myself i wanna be more involved this time round. i guess i somehow achieved that. i tried joining as many activities as possible to gain as much exposure as possible. In the process, i met new people, adapt new working style, and learn about my new-found strengths/weaknesses. I quite like that.

Of course, I have suffered setbacks. I have my down periods too. Not being able to meet my expectations, not being able to participate as much as i wanted myself to be in class, not meeting the targets i have set for myself, and many more. I am learning to be contented though. A recent community service project reminded me how many more unfortunate people are there. I know this is so cliché, but we, human beings, always complain how ill-fated we are and constantly forget the fact that we are actually very very fortunate. I am glad I have a loving family. I am glad to have food to eat every night I come home. Its heartwarming seeing home-cooked food left on the dining table waiting for me all the time. I am so darn appreciative of my parents seriously. My brother, despite very gangsterish, is quite nice too. I am glad to have a car of my own. I am glad to have tuition kids when so many people out there are struggling to find students. I am glad to be given an opportunity to coach in a reputable swimming club. i am glad to have a place in university. i am glad that my life is fulfilling at the moment. i am glad to be who i am.

of course, being glad is not enough. I will seek to improve myself as far as i can. i still wanna do many things. i have so many things on my mind. the fears i have right now is to lose the pillar of support i have and to lose my soul.

i hope i am talking sense.

.phew.

Another busy week meeting deadlines, rushing for time, and attempting my 1st biz law paper on Monday. Everything was just so rushed.

Fortunately, it turned out to be quite eventful as well. I finally found time to meet up with some of my JC pals and "talked about life". P was damn funny while KTVing, but yeah, really glad to be able to catch up with them and know a little more about what's going on in their busy life as well. If only we had a whole afternoon or something... MORE TIME MORE TIME!

i missed training once again. At the rate I am going, I wonder how long it would take before I can confidently handle the disc like nobody's business.

I read some articles today about how some great men got forgotten once they got off their post, and are only remembered when they pass away. how true, but then again, at least they are remembered. I wonder: if i die, that's it. people might cry for a while, but life still goes on after that for everybody. sad but so true. the worse victims are just my family members who would remember me for being such a pest @ home. so fragile.

on a lighter note, i received my biathlon certificate yesterday. shocked. either the distance was inaccurate or my fitness level dropped drastically. bad. guess i need to run+swim more.

now, time to rush my assignment and project due this week again. sigh. i still need to catch up with so much work! i anticipate a damn busy week again. sigh.
